Just wanted to say how great this episode was. I love the focus on the PC side, as it is largely ignored by other retro podcasts. As someone who grew up around id in Texas – even knowing some employees there through friends of friends – this was a huge dose of nostalgia for me.

BTW: The FPS convention David couldn’t remember before Quakecon was likely “The Frag.” It was the hottest and most id-supported con prior to Quakecon coming about in the Dallas area. Spent a lot of nights sleeping under my computer there. 🙂 Thanks for the amazing podcast and keep up your enthusiasm for the industry – its VERY refreshing next to all the pessimistic coverage of the medium nowadays. I bought Davids Audiobook almost immediately.
