Episode 23: Sonic the Hedgehog 1 and 2
Lloyd Parker (designer of our awesome logo) joins us to talk about two absolute classics from the Sega Genesis. For many Sonic 1 and 2 sold them on a Sega Genesis or Mega Drive. We revisit these early titles from the blue blur and also talk about the future of the podcast, more NGPC, the PS Vita, and more!

My first Sonic game was the Sonic Spinball, which came with the 3rd model of the console. So i think i might have quite late the game. (just thought i’d share)
Good podcast.
So i think i might have came in quite late the game.*
My first experience with Sonic was on the GameGear. Great system by the way.
I played SO MUCH World Series Baseball on mine. That and Sonic Triple Trouble were my go to games.
I had World Series Baseball as well and played a crap ton of seasons. I loved that game. I would say it was one of the best for the system. Did you have NHL Hockey? It was decent, no NHL 94 but great for game gear. I would kill for an NHL game on vita.
Great Podcast guys! I really enjoyed this one.
Are you going to talk about Sonic 3 & Knuckles next week?
Another great episode. Really digging the anecdotes about how the cast were initially introduced to these games. I remember seeing Sonic for the first time as a second grader at a party for a boy in my class I really didn’t like. Because of my instant love and curiosity of both Sonic and Sega I reluctantly faked a friendship with this guy so I could get in some quality sonic time until I was able to get my own system and game the following Christmas. Great times.
